Something to add to our video.

Albeit random, we feel adding this to our video could create the reaction from viewers of "did you see that new video with the guy in the Woopie cushion?!" etc. This would potentially make our video more memorable and therefore be spread around via word of mouth, or via blog posts, social networking.
As the video is stop motion, it makes it easier to add things as if they have come out of nowhere, so having something random and humorous helps mirror the upbeat randomness that the song seems to have.

Target Audience

Our target audience would be late teenagers to young adults; we would think this because we are making a quirky video and from the ages of 16 - 25 would enjoy it and be able to relate to the fact that there are different types of people and although we would like it to seem fun it would also allow people to see what it would be like in someone else's shoes and to live the life they do for a day. Also the contrast between the characters can be related to by the ages we have chosen as they are familiar with business people who are dressed smart but they are also familiar with the typical "chav" who wears a tracksuit and trainers.
  Our target audience can clearly understand what is going on but can also appreciate the fun side of the video and enjoy the quirks that hopefully will come through in the right moments.

Initial Ideas

Our main initial idea which we have gone through with is the idea of the "Bump" in which the camera follows two main characters as they go on their journeys and collide and they swap clothing (without realising) and then continue on their journeys before realising their clothes have changed so they have to find each other to return back to normal. We have done test shots for this idea and the outcome was successful;

We have decided to go through with this idea because our test shots work well and with more precision, it would look a lot more realistic rather than having it rushed like our test shots were. With the extra detail and time, we'll be able to achieve a better quality finished product which will be able to continue the story.

Test Shot analysis

 When filming out test shots we found that you had to get the 'Bump" the same in each section of the shot; by this i mean that when the characters are wearing the clothes they are meant to be wearing they must bump into one another and the bump in the same way once they have swapped they must try and jump in the same way therefore being able to match the two in editing; making the performance as believable as possible. Also it mean the continuity within the actions are there.
  We decided to do two test shot and we decided that the first one shown is the better out of the two; we thought this because it flows better and it is more continuous throughout the video; whereas the second take was not so good as it seems a little delayed within the clothes swapping.
